So finally came the day when I know I have grown a li'l older but still activities that happen this day make me feel as if I am just born today.
Last night, my friends in the hostel gave me a "surprise party". I must admit that they decorated my room as though there would be a dozen of school kids thronging the place soon for the occassion. The fan in the center of the ceiling harboured a massive spider made of colourful paper strips (...ergh, what do u call them?.. can't recall), then on the cupboard were what I was told decorations depicting "Frog tongue" (what imagination!), my bed was strewn with what I was supposed to believe as "snow flakes". There were b'day caps for the kids who apparently were expected anytime. The caps were really cute, must say.
The best was the candle on the cake. First look at it and I doubted something. I was told to burn it myself and so I did what I was told. and ...BOOM.. that candle was some sort of Diwali craker. It dazzled for full one minute with straight upward lightening. I was so bemused that I stood there in awe, with the knife in my hand, till the time it kept burning while others waited for me to do the honours of the yummy cake (I realised all this later when I was shown the video my friends had captured of the moment, {smart people!})..
...sorry for the interruption. I just saw the time. Got to leave for the class as I dont want to be scolded today atleast.. will update later in the day!
